Top Places to Get Student Ministry Resources

If you are like me, you are constantly looking for new resources to use for your student ministry. Whether it be worship backgrounds, pictures, PowerPoint slides, videos, or something else, resources are tough to find at times especially for affordable prices. I want to share with you the top places that I use for resources in our student ministry.

  1. Share Faith– This website costs, but it is well worth the cost. For a year subscription of like $110 (one time fee), you get unlimited downloads. On their website, you have motion worship backgrounds, still pictures, video loops, PowerPoint sermons, website designs, and more. It is well worth the money, and you can download as many as you need. They are constantly updating their resources, and I highly recommend this site.
  2. The Skit Guys– If you are in student ministry, you have probably heard of these guys. They are arguably the best out there at skits and dramas for students. They are hilarious, but can get the point across in an incredible way. I buy their videos and show them regularly. Now, they are a bit expensive (estimated $15 a video), but well worth it occasionally.
  3.  Google Images– If you are making an announcement slide, google images is a great place to find quick images to use. It is free, and easy to download. The problem that you run into is that you may see your picture somewhere else out there. Be careful when using this resource.
  4. Youtube & Godtube– Occasionally I can find a good video on these sites that can help support my sermon.
  5. Youth Ministry 360– These guys are constantly pushing out the resources for student ministry leaders. They provide sermon prep for you, provide great graphics, and regularly share top technological tid bits out there.
  6. Youth Ministry Media– These guys provide you with some sweet freebies so subscribe to their RSS feed, and start checking out what they have to offer.
  7. Sermon Central– This is a great resource to search for sermons, PowerPoints, illustrations, and videos.
8.– These guys are an up and coming resource page for anyone in student ministry. They provide great resources and freebies for you!
  9. The Youth Culture Report– Anytime I want to know about something going down in youth culture, I always visit this site for important and fresh information regarding what is popular among students and their culture.
  10. Simply Youth Ministry– They provide several freebies on their page such as documents, videos, and training materials. They also provide many great books for you to purchase or download.
